July Brand Ambassador of the Month!
We are so excited to learn a little more about our featured Brand Ambassador @pearlsandwisdom. Tiffany is a Kindergarten Teacher that creates fun and educational activities for her students.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself! What is the inspiration behind your Instagram page?
Hi! I'm Tiffany and I am a kindergarten teacher in Austin, TX. I started my page to help teachers find simple ideas that didn't involve a lot of teacher prep and were not worksheet based. From those first few posts, my account has grown into a place where I share my ideas to create a student created, play based, and authentic classroom.
Q: We have loved seeing your page grow, and all the amazing projects and activities you share, and we learn so much as you incorporate play based learning into your posts! What inspired you to want to be a Brand Ambassador?
I fell in love with Kwik Stix the first time I used them! They are so easy to use without all of the mess of paint. All of The Pencil Grip products are created with children and creativity in mind, which I love too!
Q: What is your favorite product of ours that you have tried so far? Can you
tell us more about why you love this product, and if you have any tips or tricks when using it or favorite techniques? Is there anything in particular that has helped you blend creativity, play, and learning together with your children and any advice you can provide to others?
I love how easy Kwik Stix are to use! They are a favorite art tool for my kindergarteners. We love using them to create our dramatic play areas because they are so vibrant and easily draw on both paper and cardboard. We use Kwik Stix the first week of school to create our student created alphabet, number line, and birthday posters. I show students how to use them by introducing them as a tool. We go over making sure they are closed all the way and how to use them without pushing too hard. After that, they are a resource students can use every day. We have them in our creation station (our version of an art center) and students also have them available when creating other classroom projects.
Q: We love that you incorporate amazing videos of your activities on your page! What is one of your favorite projects you have created using our products? There have been so many great posts you have made, and we want to know which stands out to you!
One of my favorite things we created this year using Kwik Stix was our Mo Willems Studio dramatic play center. My students create many of Mo's beloved characters using Kwik Stix and it was such a happy thing to see everyday. Mo Willems Studio I also love these student created alphabet posters we make every year. The colors are so vibrant! (Tip: If you laminate them they get even more vibrant!) Student Created ABC Posters
Q: What’s next for you? Do you have any exciting crafts or activities planned for the Summer months ahead?!
Right now I'm taking some much needed time to enjoy my family, read, and go to the pool as much as possible! I do have some really fun ideas though for next year for our Dramatic Play Center and some fun back to school crafts lined up! I can't wait to share them!
